Holy hell. Moving away from the depression of the last post, let’s update you all on life shall we? I briefly mentioned that a friend of mine called me up on Friday in all the chaos to ask me to go see our girl Lady GaGa in Boston on Tuesday, right? Let’s backtrack to Halloween..
I love Lady GaGa. Krissy and I were both Lady GaGa for Halloween; well, Lady and GaGa is what we referred to one another as. In any case, I was excited because I’ve heard that Monster Ball absolutely kills it. And it did. Between the costumes, the set, the absolutely mind blowing performances, and the pre-GaGa absurdities, I don’t know what to say made it more amazing.
Pretty much the best guy there; and as luck would have it, he sat next to us!
In any case, if at all possible, I’m more obsessed with GaGa than ever before and I’ve had her on repeat since I got home yesterday. Speaking of travel; Penn Station at 6:30 a.m. was an experience, as was waiting in the cold for my bus to arrive. All is well that ends well I suppose. Some positives? 8 hours on a bus and 2 on a train made for solid reading time. I’m well into part 3 of Crime and Punishment; about 350 pages worth of reading– and I’m absolutely loving it.
As for right now, it’s pouring rain and I’m exhausted after sitting in the DMV to get another awful picture taken for my new license (why do they zoom in so much, making it impossible not to look 500 lbs?!) so I’m going to watch another movie for my film papers (6 films, 6 critiques). I’m thinking tonight I’ll watch “Casablanca.”
